We’re in planning stages for the book-cover. We’ve found a model and Terry Strickland will be photographing and designing the cover art. Final edits are almost done and preparation for publication has begun.

Editing Continues
The big plot event I previously mentioned cutting is out, and I have a whole lot of fun ideas for some more changes that will really help the flow, but more importantly, show off the characters.
I’m entering doom time, the build to the climax where characters start dropping like flies! I’m getting very excited about changes. Then I have to go back and put the rest of my Odes into stanzas.
This weekend Kyle and I will be running a rehearsal for Terry Strickland’s Incognito Project event. We’re going to be doing dry runs of the shoots to get the timing down and making sure everything is organized for next weekend. My portrait will have a decidedly Greek feel. I got to lecture at the dinner table about the Goddess I identify myself with in Olympia Heights and about her different dominions. It got me thinking about what other sides of her character I need to develop. Fun times!
More updates soon. I’m working hard!
Another Major Plot Edit
I made another major edit in the plot and essentially streamlined the lead up to the climax. It’s good, I think. Kyle and I discussed the motivations of the characters and we think this change makes a lot more sense.
Previous to that I added another appearance from a character new to draft 2. Candice Matthews is an English teacher who has the hots for Jason Livingstone and annoys the ever living crap out of him. It tickles my funny bone, I hope everyone else will respond well to her, too.
As for my other pursuits, I’ve been working to recover Kyle’s website from the hack and I’ve started reading C.S. Lewis’ Till We Have Faces.
That’s all for now. More soon!

Here are three artists I’m related to.

Editing Like Mad
I’ve spent the last few days editing and typing away. I’ve got two more chapters edited since Sunday (though the Odes need my attention when I can sit at the table and play with beats) and I took a break today to stock up on food.
Tomorrow I should be back to editing. It’s going to be a grand old time. Right now I’m past the point of Christmas Vacation in the book and I’m getting to the next big incident. Dun dun dun!!!
More updates to come as the final stretch of editing is raced.
Self Publishing
We are looking into the possibilities of self publishing. The editing process is being pushed into full-time (40 hours a week until mid July) in preparation for laying out a manuscript for printing. The private publishing company has intentions of publishing a few works from different authors (including a short story anthology, a children’s book, and an artist’s book).
Keep an eye out for more information. It could be coming by the end of the summer.
